Your data

Deleting your data, and what happens to it.

Three different things: deleting your account, disconnecting Amazon, and asking us about your personal data. Here is what each one does.Last updated 5 October 2026.

Delete your account

In the dashboard: Account → Delete account, then type DELETE and your password (and your two-step code, if it’s on). It happens straight away and can’t be undone.

  • Your name, email address and password are erased.
  • A brand only you belong to is deleted with everything in it: every report you uploaded, its prompts, rules, decisions, alerts, answer checks and change history, and any Amazon connection.
  • A brand you share with others stays with them: it passes to its next owner, and your name is removed from its history.
  • We keep a record that an account existed, with no name or email in it — when it was created, last signed in and was verified, its plan and trial dates, which version of our terms it accepted and when, which version of the privacy notice it was shown, and — if it opted in — which marketing wording it agreed to — so a deletion can be shown to have happened. It is deleted after 2 years, with the security log.
  • Our security log of who did what, when, is kept for two years and then deleted.

Remove a brand’s data without leaving

An owner can delete a brand in the dashboard: Account → Delete this brand, then type its name, their password and, if it’s on, their two-step code. Everything in it goes straight away, for everyone on it: every report, decision, rule and automation, and the Amazon connection with everything it fetched. Your own account stays. Sample data can be removed from the banner at the top of the dashboard.

Disconnect Amazon

The direct Amazon Ads connection isn’t available yet — today you upload reports yourself. When it is available, an owner will be able to disconnect it on Data & uploads:

  • Adcquire’s access token is deleted at once, and no more reports are fetched.
  • No change can be sent to Amazon after that.
  • What was fetched from Amazon is deleted at the same time: its report weeks (including any you also uploaded for the same dates), its campaign settings, what was worked out from them (tags, alerts, listing gaps your team hasn’t decided, pauses still waiting for a decision), and the before-and-after details of changes sent. The pauses and changes your team decided, and who decided them, stay in the brand’s history.
  • Reports you uploaded yourself, for other weeks, stay until you delete the brand or your account. So do the answers from Amazon’s assistant you pasted in to check: you pasted them, they weren’t fetched.
  • If the person who connected Amazon leaves the brand, stops being an owner or deletes their account, the connection stops at once. An owner can connect again within 30 days; otherwise what it fetched is deleted.
  • Amazon asks brands to confirm the connection once a year: an owner connects again, and the data stays.
  • To withdraw the permission on Amazon’s side as well, remove Adcquire in your Amazon account’s Login with Amazon settings.

Disconnecting Amazon doesn’t delete your account, and deleting your account doesn’t need you to disconnect first.

How long things are kept

WhatHow long
Your account and your brands’ reportsUntil you delete them. An account left unused for a year after its free trial ended — no sign-ins, and no new reports or Amazon connection in its brands — is deleted the same way, after an email warning a month before; signing in keeps it
A message sent through the contact form12 months, then erased — unless it leads to you becoming a customer, when it’s kept for up to 3 years from when you sent it
A “tell me when prompts launch” sign-upErased once the email is sent, when you unsubscribe, or after 2 years
Invitations to join a brandDeleted 30 days after they’re used, expire or are withdrawn
Error records (no email addresses or tokens)30 days after the error was last seen
The security log2 years
Service logs (technical records of requests)On our server only up to a fixed size, then overwritten by newer ones
Uploaded report filesOnly until they’re imported; then the file itself is discarded

Ask for a copy, a correction or deletion

Use the contact form and choose “My personal data” — you’ll get a case reference — or email accounts@adcquire.com with “Privacy” in the subject. You can also complain to us this way.

We confirm a request comes from you by replying to the email address on your account; we won’t ask for ID documents unless there’s a real doubt. We answer within one month. You don’t need to ask for a copy: Account → Download your data gives you everything we hold about you, any time, and your brand’s reports download as CSV from the Prompts and Question topics pages.

If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. Everything else about your data is in the privacy notice.
